Our background
and experience
Hosting Power was born in 2015 as a department of OpenCom.
We are in Arezzo, in Tuscany, just an hour’s drive from Florence. The core business of Hosting Power is the coordination of incoming activities related to the European projects for VET, HE students and staff.
The hosting activity in Arezzo focuses on matching high-quality, tailored services and ensuring partners’ satisfaction.
In recent years we have hosted more than 2,000 participants
Hosting Power Services
ACCOMMODATION AT AFFORDABLE PRICE
OpenCom provides different types of accommodations, according to the length of the projects and to the students’ needs:
- shared flats, all located in Arezzo city and well connected with public buses;
- hotels, located in the historical centre of the town and provided with all the comforts.
HIGH QUALITY AND TAILORED PLACEMENT
OpenCom can identify focused and flexible training programs based on participants’ needs and expectations. In each company, students are constantly followed by a tutor who monitors learning achievement and results, cross-cutting competencies acquired and social inclusion. We work with more than 500 companies, and the training areas are growing yearly, according to partners’ requests and thanks to the variety of companies that characterize our territory.
TUTORING
During the mobility, participants are supported by OpenCom Staff, who accomplish the following goals:
- to ensure that tasks and responsibilities assigned to participants by the company’s tutor match their previous knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as training objectives and learning outcomes;
- to support participants in the social, cultural and linguistic inclusion in the hosting territory.
LANGUAGE COURSES
We organise and provide Italian language courses, according to the level of participants. OpenCom is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Training Agency in the “Design and Provision of Training Services”.
Job-Shadowing
We organise Job-Shadowing visits for all staff participants who want to explore new working methods and methodologies to exchange good practices and update their competencies and skills. Job-shadowing mobilities involve schools, public entities, private companies, and not-for-profit organizations.
Arezzo
It is an Italian city, the chief town of the Province with the same name and it is in the heart of Tuscany. Arezzo is about 80 km (50 miles) southeast of Florence. The city has a population of about 99.179, while the Province has 342.654 inhabitants.
- Arezzo is easily reachable from the Airport of Pisa (2 hours), Florence (1 hour), Bologna (2 hours) and Rome (2 hours and half);
- OpenCom can arrange transfers from the airport by private bus or minibus, otherwise, the city can be easily reached by train.
